Vegetable Gravy



Vegetable Gravy 

Whiz in blender until smooth:
2 cups water
1 1/4 cups raw cashews
3/4 cups oats
1 onion, quartered
1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
2 tsp. salt
1-2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp tumeric

Pour blended mixture into pot and add:
2 cups water (use to rinse the blender)

Bring to a boil and add:
2-4 cups more water
2 pounds frozen mixed vegetables
2 cans garbanzos, drained
1/2 bag Grillers Recipe Crumbles by Morningstar Farms

Simmer until vegetables are tender. Serve over brown rice. Add salad and whole grain bread for a complete meal.

  1. I could hear your naration on the baked buritos - but not on this one! I could just catch a word here and there. (Yes, my PC volume is as high as it will go!
